Purchasing and Activating a License

A Rectangle Pro license is available as a one-time, lifetime purchase. One license can be active on three devices simultaneously, and licenses can be transferred to other devices. Currently, payment processing and license management are handled by Paddle.

Rectangle Pro is a separate app from Rectangle, and is a separate download.

In the app

There are three places where the purchase flow can be initiated within the app:

1. The Purchase… menu item in the Rectangle Pro menu bar menu.
2. A button in the General tab of the Settings window.
3. A button in the About window.

In the purchase view, there is an Activate License button for entering a license code if you purchased previously or via the website.

Common License Activation Issues

Here are some of the common license activation errors, and solutions:

• A valid license code is required. Please try again.: Make sure that the license code is entered in the text field below “License Code” in the license activation window, and that it is correct.
• We were unable to complete the license activation of the requested product.: This typically means that the app is unable to reach Paddle’s servers. If you are on a VPN or behind a firewall, or using software that might block internet requests to Paddle’s servers, you’ll want to try removing any of those and then activating.
